About JANVS

JANVS (the exhibition design division of VIDAR Media Group) was formed in 1983 by the Scirebröc Group, a specialist provider of design, media and exhibition services to the cultural heritage sector. JANVS incorporated as a Limited Company in 1997 and JANVS International incorporated in 2006. Following a reorganisation of the JANVS companies, JANVS and Scirebröc became independent operating divisions of VIDAR Media Group in January 2008. Scirebröc, the original founder of JANVS, is now the media production division of VIDAR Media Group.

One of the first clients of JANVS was the York Archaeological Trust - creators of the world famous JORVIK Viking Centre. Other prestigious projects include the first permanent exhibition of Domesday Book and Magna Carta for the National Archives and the interpretive design for St George's Hall, the centrepiece attraction for the city of Liverpool as European Capital of Culture 2008.

Internationally, JANVS has been responsible for a diverse range of projects - the development of a heritage tourism strategy in the former Yugoslavia (in association with McKinsey & Company), an international energy centre in Iceland, a national Viking centre in Sweden and an international touring exhibition of UNESCO World Heritage. These are just a few of the many projects with which JANVS, the exhibition division of VIDAR Media Group, continues to set new standards for world-leading heritage interpretation.

With over twenty-five years experience in the museum and gallery sector, JANVS is now one of the longest established designers of award-winning museums, galleries and visitor attractions in the UK. JANVS has contributed to over 300 projects around the world, providing client partners with a completely integrated design and build service with a guarantee of completing its projects on-time and within budget.
